Dr. Alexander’s research activities at Stress Engineering Services, Inc. have included studies associated with fatigue testing of pipes with dents and gouges. Investigations of composite reinforcement repair methods for pipelines have been conducted for the Gas Research Institute, Minerals Management Service, and several manufacturers and pipeline companies. He has also performed numerous finite element analyses on pressure vessels and piping components, several of which involved complex heat transfer considerations.
